Home

For my painting class I have had three different landscape assignments. Each of these is still a work in progess.  I live in such a beautiful place, it's so easy to find inspiration:

1) A landscape from a memory, without use of photographs or any reference material. This is a painting of this crazy tree on denman island, in the middle of a field filled with primrose. It had about 30 trunks all coming from the bottom, and a space big enough for several people to fit in. I was 6 when I saw it, this is basically what I remember.

2) A painting from memory after a 3-5 minute observation, no photographs or references allowed:

3) A landscape from observation en plein air, for four hours; done at the beach this morning.
